The Swing Set Team 2010-2011
Dancing is pretty much the best thing ever. I love it so much. It always puts me the best mood after I am done dancing.
Bren Williams is my dance partner. His favorite part is throwing me out in front of him. He tries to see how far and how high I will go.

CRAZY LEGS!!!!
More CRAZY LEGS!!!!

Here we are at the Shark Attack in Salt Lake City. Here is the group doing the Susie Q's. We forgot to let Melissa into the middle. We have had so much fun dancing together.

For ward prayer my roommates and I sang a song to help introduce ourselves. Here are the lyrics to the song. It goes to the tune of "You and I" by Ingrid Michaelson

THE 434 SONG

Don't you worry there dear wardies
Our apartment throws dance parties
And we're always eating lots of food.

You might think we're kind of nerdy
But you'll find we're rather flirty
And we're all just waiting to be woo-ed

So if you need to celebrate
an obscure holiday
or if you have an intense love of cheese
and wanna go out of your way

Come find us - it's always an adventure
In Legacy 434
We'll be there, waiting
for you, yes we will!

Am I Diligent Learner?

I am very thankful for institute classes. This semester I was signed up for three. I have been taking Church History, Scripture Study: Power of the Word, and Religion in Life. Yesterday I attended Religion in Life. Elder Jay E. Jensen who is a member of the Presidency of the Seventy spoke. He was very insightful in what he had to say. He talked about Jesus Christ being a teacher and a learner. "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." (Luke 2:52) Jesus increased and grew. He never stops growing. What an amazing thought that is?! Elder Jensen said that Christ had two main purposes in coming to the earth.
1. He came to work out the infinite Atonement.
2. Christ came to set an example of righteousness in all things.

Elder Jensen is passionate about education. He believes that WE TEACH TO LEARN. He said until you can teach it, you still do not have your arms around it.

AM I A DILIGENT LEARNER?

1. I become a diligent learner when I want it.
2. I become a diligent learner when I am persistant and stick with it.
3. I become a diligent learner when I pray in specifics, meaningful specifics. Pray formally and informally. Be more prayerful in your hearts throughout a meeting such as sacrament meeting or sunday school. Prayer is an essential component of being a diligent learner. "I must pay the higher and right price to learn."
4. I become a diligent learner when I ask questions. Questions invite revelation. Am I hearing something that no one else has the ability to say it?
5. I become a diligent learner when I write, organize, expand and teach what I'm learning. Quote ideas from the Holy Ghost.
6. I become a dilident learner when I'm a good listener and observer espeically of older people.
7. I become a diligent learner when I arise early and retire early.
8. I become a diligent learner when I am punctual, revenrent and a disciple.
9. I become a diligent learner when I accept responsiblity of learning inspite of the quality of the teacher. There is much to be learned. I will learn much.

I want these things to be my motto. I wish I had realized and learned these things when I first started college. But it is never too late to start.
